Hi, I’m Nix. Welcome. I am so happy you have found your way here. Nothing brings me more joy than women connecting together and uplifting each other to achieve great things.

A little bit about me and my beliefs

I am a woman, badass home-birthing mother of 2 boys, sacred birth worker, yoga and pregnancy yoga teacher, mother’s circle facilitator, podcast host, daughter, sister, friend…! Born in Cape Town, I now live in Bristol, UK.

I am currently in the thick of my own Mothering journey and have shifted my life’s focus to serving women as they transition into Motherhood. I believe that this transition is monumental and we need to be supporting Mothers with community, care and compassion as they navigate this journey. I am an advocate of responsive parenting, intuitive Mothering and building communities between Mothers.

In a past life I trained as a chartered accountant and spent 15 years working in industry. Although I now work in the birth space and with women in early Motherhood, I still retain awesome financial knowledge and am doing something unique in fusing these two worlds together. I recognise that financial stress can be a leading cause of anxiety for new Mothers and I am here to help conquer this. I am soon launching a course for Mothers-to-be which will provide comprehensive coaching to prepare Mothers for their maternity leave. It is my mission to help Mothers feel financially empowered and prepared when they transition into Motherhood.

I will hold my hands up and admit that I am also a complete birth nerd. I love birth, I respect birth and I trust birth. I wholeheartedly believe that when left undisturbed, the physiology of birth will unfold beautifully.

I am an incredibly calm and loving presence with a huge heart. And I will hold you so gently as you wonder the mystical path of pregnancy and birth. My care is entirely mother led. All of our sessions will be entirely dictated by what you need. And of course, if you seek my advice and expertise, then I come armed with a whole wealth of knowledge and resources to help you make informed decisions. I will always trust your instincts and intuition as the mother, rather than what I may think is best, to help you remain sovereign and empowered throughout your birthing journey.

My own birthing journey has brought me trauma and also deep healing and I bring this wisdom to helping you. I have experienced one heavily medicalised birth in hospital and one redemptive, empowering, physiological home birth. It is my mission to help more women reclaim their birth like I did with my second.

I recognise that birth occasionally needs medical support, and I am so grateful that we have access to such excellent care when it is needed. However, I do not believe that birth needs to be treated as a medical event in the first instance, and I am here to gently help women remain in control of their birthing journey.

What else?

I love music, festivals, bare foot dancing outside, cold water swimming, climbing mountains, camping, singing, drinking wine with girlfriends, sitting in circle with women, delicious food, running wildly and freely, adventures, colourful clothes…to name a few. Time at home with my family is sacred to me and I am at my happiest spending slow mornings with my boys drinking coffee and getting stuck into hard core play time.

I look forward to sharing this journey with you.
